Dr. Shannon Boyd is an Upstream Rehab Institute instructor and mentor for the Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency and OMPT Fellowship programs and a physical therapist practicing in Denison, GA.  He obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2009 and completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy from Regis University in 2017.  He has achieved board certification in orthopaedics (OCS), certification in dry needling and is recognized as a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.  Dr. Boyd is a clinical instructor and serves as a mentor to new graduate physical therapists, orthopedic residents and fellows-in-training.  He is active in advocacy for the state of Texas with the primary agenda of direct access and remains a key contact for state senators and representatives.  Dr. Boyd is active in ongoing research and continues to present at both state and national level conferences.
