Jarrad Matthews, PT, DPT

Dr. Jarrad Matthews has a B.S in Sports Management from Texas A&M University where he also was a track and field athlete competing in the decathlon, pole vault, and javelin. During his tenure as an Aggie, his accomplishments in the javelin include 2002 Junior National Champion, 19th Ranking at 2002 Junior World Championships, 3-Time Mid-West Regional Champion, 3-Time All-American, 2004 Olympic Trial Competitor, 2005 Big 12 Champion, and the only athlete in Texas A&M history to pole vault 17’0” and throw the javelin over 230” in one season. Today, Jarrad continues to pursue his athletic interests as the coach for cross country and track athletes at Prestonwood Christian Academy. Jarrad attended University of Washington Medical School within the Department of Rehabilitation where he graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013. Along with seminars and teaching, Jarrad has completed his Orthopedic Residency training and certification in Dry Needling through Benchmark Rehabilitation Institute. Dr. Matthews is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Texas Physical Therapy Association (TPTA), and Sports Section of the APTA.
