TM1: Thrust Manipulation 1 – Lower Extremity & Basic/Intermediate Spine1,2   $495
This 2-day lab intensive course focuses on enhancing the participant’s background knowledge, clinical reasoning process, and technical skill set related to the use of high velocity low amplitude (HVLA) thrust manipulation techniques in the management of patients with spinal or lower extremity impairments. Participants can expect to become proficient with common manipulative techniques directed to the lower extremity joints and with basic and intermediate techniques directed to the cervical, lumbar, and thoracic spinal regions. Furthermore, evidence based approaches and reasoning related to the appropriate use of spinal manipulation will be emphasized.

This course is open to PTs and PT students only and is appropriate for all skill levels.

 

TM2 – Thrust Manipulation 2 – Upper Extremity & Advanced Spine1,2   $495

This 2-day lab intensive course is designed to follow MT1 and further refine clinical reasoning and develop more advanced technical skill in regards to effective & appropriate use of high velocity low amplitude (HVLA) thrust manipulation techniques in the management of patients with spinal or upper extremity impairments. More advanced and technically skilled spinal techniques and manipulation of the upper cervical spine will be emphasized, in addition to manipulative techniques targeting the upper extremity.

This course is open to PTs and PT students only. Prior completion of TM1 or other approved post-professional training in HVLA manipulation is required.

 

DN1: Dry Needling of the Lumbar Region & Lower Quarter – A Comprehensive Approach2,3   $795

This 3-day course focuses on skill acquisition of dry needling technique and clinical reasoning for implementing the intervention for the lumbopelvic region and lower quarter. Participants can expect to become proficient with identification of trigger points and treatment using dry needling. Safety with dry needling is emphasized with each technique. Furthermore, evidence based approaches for the use of dry needling will be emphasized – including non-trigger point approaches targeting pain modulatory pathways.

This course is open to PTs and PT students only only and is appropriate for all skill levels.

 

DN2: Dry Needling of the Cervicothoracic Region and Upper Quarter – A Comprehensive Approach2,3   $795

This 3-day course is designed to follow DN1 and to continue to build additional skill in the use of dry needling – with an emphasis on the cervicothoracic region and upper quarter.

This course is open to PTs and PT students only. Prior completion of DN1 or other approved previous training in dry needling is required.

 

DN3: Advanced Dry Needling3   $525

This 2-day course focuses on advancing skills of dry needling technique and clinical reasoning for implementing the intervention. Participants can expect to be proficient with identification of trigger points and treatment using dry needling of structures not covered in previous DN courses. Safety with dry needling is emphasized with each technique as we instruct DN of structures that are close in proximity to neurovascular bundles and other sensitive structures. Furthermore, evidence based approaches for the use of dry needling will be emphasized, including various types of needle stimulation.

This course is open to PTs only. Prior completion of DN1 and DN2, or other approved previous training in dry needling, is required.

 

LQ: Comprehensive Management of the Lower Quarter2   $495

This course focuses on skilled examination and manual therapy treatment of the hip, knee, ankle and foot. Clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice are underscored throughout instruction utilizing thrust and non-thrust manual techniques, neurodynamics, and exercise. Learning is enhanced with the practical application of patient cases. This is a lab-intensive course with the majority of time spent in skill acquisition with supervised practice encouraged.

This course is open to PTs, PTAs, ATCs, and PT students, and it is appropriate for all skill levels.

 

LP: Comprehensive Management of the Lumbopelvic Region2   $495

This course focuses on skilled examination and manual therapy treatment of the lumbar spine and pelvis. Clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice are underscored throughout instruction utilizing thrust and non-thrust manual techniques, neurodynamics, and exercise. Learning is enhanced with the practical application of patient cases. This is a lab-intensive course with the majority of time spent in skill acquisition with supervised practice encouraged.

This course is open to PTs, PTAs, ATCs, and PT students, and it is appropriate for all skill levels.

 

CT: Comprehensive Management of the Cervicothoracic Region2   $495

Clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice are underscored throughout instruction utilizing thrust and non-thrust manual techniques and exercise. UQ: Comprehensive Management of the Upper Quarter2   $495

This course focuses on skilled examination and manual therapy treatment of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. Clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice are underscored throughout instruction utilizing thrust and non-thrust manual techniques, neurodynamics, and exercise. Learning is enhanced with the practical application of patient cases. This is a lab-intensive course with the majority of time spent in skill acquisition with supervised practice encouraged.

This course is open to PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, ATCs, and PT students, and it is appropriate for all skill levels.

 

MPS: Modern Pain Science2   $495

This course focuses on enhancing the participant’s knowledge and understanding of how pain works and how it can impact those affected by it. In addition, an emphasis is placed on the clinical reasoning processes and technical skills related to effective patient communication, clinical management, and pain neuroscience education. This course will enhance the participants’ knowledge and understanding of pain and equip them to employ modern pain science principles and interventional techniques to help more effectively manage those suffering from pain.

MPS is offered in 2 convenient formats:
Full course: 6-week online course, followed by a 1-day live lab session (16 contact hours)
Online-only: 6-week online course (10 contact hours)

This course is open to anyone, and it is appropriate for all skill levels.

 

OCS: Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist Prep Course    $350

This course is intended to review principles of test-taking, OCS examination outline, and content of the OCS examination. The course has a mixture of readings and evidence-based recorded lectures. You will also have multiple quizzes in the format of the OCS examination.

 

VR1: Vestibular Rehab 1: BPPV and Vestibular Hypo-Function  $495

Comprehensive course to include differential assessment, skilled evaluative techniques, special tests, and strategic treatment of vestibular pathologies, hypo function and cervical dizziness.

This course is open to PTs, PTAs, ATCs, and PT students, and it is appropriate for all skill levels.

 

TOA: Treating the Overhead Athlete: Regional Interdependence and Beyond   $495

Cutting-edge techniques, up-to-date evidence, and hands on learning in order to improve and develop the clinician’s ability to treat the overhead athlete from injury to performance. Utilizing evolving evidence and novel manual and exercise techniques from the sports world, clinicians will be taught the secrets to assessing and treating complex shoulder dysfunction. Clinicians will Integrate regional interdependence models with differential diagnosis to unlock the secrets of developing comprehensive strategies to return the most difficult overhead athletes to their sport.

TTR: Treating the Runner: Biomechanics, Gait Analysis, and Regional Interdependence  $495

Using emerging evidence, advances in technology, and years of experience, clinicians will be trained in advanced techniques to asses, diagnose, and treat the most common ailments of a running athlete. Using 2-D models, technological advances in pressure mapping, and real-time data on running athletes, clinicians will be immersed in the complex nature of running mechanics, gait analysis, gait cheats, and shoe assessment. Hands on manual skills and evidence-based information will allow clinicians to unlock the secrets of treating running athletes while integrating the regional interdependence model to improve biomechanics, function, and outcomes.

RCS: Rotator Cuff Syndrome: Evidence based Applications for Primary and Secondary Impingement   $249

Designed to demonstrate innovative treatment planning in functional rehabilitation of the upper kinetic chain with evidence based interventions. Learn to assess and treat rotator cuff injuries with treatment strategies based on the latest research and literature. With hands on lab sessions you will return to your practice with new and practical skills that are immediately applicable for improved patient outcomes.

FRK: Functional Rehab of the Knee: Concepts of Evidence Based Treatment   $249

Focuses on evidence -based therapeutic value-designed exercise applications that promote tri-plane stabilization of the lower extremity. Attendees will explore the most up to date treatment plans for selected knee pathology. They will participate in labs which will include pre-functional mobility, tri-plane stabilization and balance proprioception training.

This course is open to PTs, PTAs, ATCs, and PT students, and it is appropriate for all skill levels.

 

PAR: Post- Arthroplasty Rehab of the Knee and Shoulder  $249

Focuses on current evidence based interventions for promoting high level functional return to a patient’s requested level of daily activities. This presentation will be based on the speaker’s 39 years of practical experience in treating total joint replacement of both the knee and shoulder. Today’s surgical procedures including less invasive options such as unicompartmental (knee) and hemiarthroplasty (shoulder) will be presented. Reverse prosthesis for total shoulder replacement will update a protective exercise protocol based on current literature.

This course is open to PTs, PTAs, ATCs, and PT students, and it is appropriate for all skill levels.
